Edmen Shahbazyan is only 21-years-old, but he is a bad, bad man.
The middleweight is already ranked 10th in the UFC’s rankings at 170lbs and moved to 11-0 at UFC 244.
He knocked out the returning Brad Tavares in the first round at Madison Square Garden to make it 10 first-round finishes from his 11 wins.
Not only did he get the finish though, it’s the way he did it.
Take a look at the video below of Shahbazyan’s high kick finish that put Tavares to bed.
Speaking to the media after the event, Shahbazyan revealed he wants to become the youngest champion in UFC history and break Jon Jones’ record.
Bones did that at the age of 23, so the American has every chance to accomplish his goal in the next 13 months.
Israel Adesanya is currently sitting atop of the middleweight division, but the power Shahbazyan brings to the table would be a nightmare matchup for anyone.
