West Brom returned to the top of the Championship table with a 2-0 win over struggling Stoke.
Matt Phillips opened the scoring in the eighth minute, before Hal Robson-Kanu’s second-half penalty put the game beyond doubt.
Stoke, who parted company with Nathan Jones last week, rarely tested Sam Johnstone in the West Brom goal.
The Potters remain bottom and six points from safety, while the Baggies moved two points ahead of second-placed Preston.
