All Elite Wrestling’s first pay-per-view since it’s national television show debuted went down on Saturday night, but the fireworks started the day before Full Gear.
On Friday night, AEW commentator Excalibur and British wrestler Jimmy Havoc, also signed to AEW, got into an altercation at a Jimmy’s Seafood restaurant.
To make it worse, this all went down right in front of AEW owner Tony Khan.
That’s like Corey Graves and Cesaro going at it right in front of Vince McMahon. Which, he’d probably love.
According to Bodyslam.net, this went down on the Friday night and Havoc was extremely intoxicated. Although it’s unknown what caused the row, it’s believed Havoc swung for Exaclibur and missed, giving the commentator the chance to choke Havoc out with a sleeper hold.
When Havoc awoke, he swung for Exaclibur again and this time he connected. This caused a scuffle that security had to break up and, eventually, Havoc was put in an Uber and sent back to his hotel.
It’s believed everything has been smoothed over now and Havoc is very remorseful.
Tony Khan is widely expected to comment on the incident after Full Gear.
