The Committee on Information continued its annual session today, as delegates decried the epidemic of disinformation spreading around the world faster than the COVID-19 virus and tasked the United Nations with strengthening multilingual strategic communications to inoculate populations against this harmful trend.

Journalists, media experts, policymakers and scholars within academic and faith communities in Palestine, Israel and elsewhere gathered for the opening of the twenty‑seventh annual International Media Seminar on Peace in the Middle East today, held for the first time in virtual format, amid the ongoing COVID‑19 pandemic.
The annual United Nations International Media Seminar on Peace in the Middle East will be held virtually on Tuesday, 8 December, from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.EST, and Wednesday, 9 December from 10:30 a.m. to noon EST.
