At the age of 13, and after completing her first ever feature film, Hailee Steinfeld found herself an Academy Award nominee.
Not that she’s ever been bothered by that.
‘It’s never really been about that for me,’ she admits.
‘I guess having been nominated so young, I knew it was an incredible honour and I felt lucky to be recognised for my work but I didn’t really know at 13 what it meant, or what I did to get that, to deserve that.’
