Iranian judiciary: Arrest of about 30 people in protests related to the plane crash

Iranian authorities have arrested about 30 protesters who took to the streets after Tehran admitted to accidentally shooting down a Ukrainian plane, a spokesman for the Iranian judiciary said on Tuesday.

“About 30 people were arrested for participating in illegal gatherings … We are tolerant of legal gatherings,” Tasnim news agency quoted the spokesman, Ghulam Hussein Ismaili, as saying.
