Jose Mourinho believes Manchester United will complete the signing of Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur and remains confident that a £50million deal can be struck in January, reports claim.

The Portuguese tactician is desperate to strengthen his squad with the addition of the England international, who is also keen to secure regular first-team football ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

United were close to signing the Spurs ace in the summer but a deal fell through due to Rose’s recovery from a long-term injury combined with Mauricio Pochettino’s unwillingness to sell two full-backs in one transfer window.
