Nigel Farage won’t give up his £73,000 EU pension

Ex-Ukip leader Nigel Farage has been accused of being a hypocrite after saying he would still take his annual £73,000 EU pension after Brexit.

The MEP for South East England was asked on the Andrew Marr show whether he would stick to his principles and not accept the money, but he refused to give it up.

The Sunday Times estimated that as an MEP, the former Ukip leader will be entitled to an annual taxpayer-funded pension of £73,000 when he reaches the age of 63. He is currently 53.
