Monty Panesar has crashed out of Dancing On Ice after fracturing his ankle.

Source confirmed to Metro.co.uk that the injury will not heal in time for the former cricketeer to return to practise and be ready for the live shows, so he has withdrawn from the competiton.

‘Owing to an injury sustained in training, Monty has had to withdraw from the competition,’ a spokesperson for ITV confirmed.

‘Lemar will take his place, and will be partnered with professional skater Melody.’
