Could John Lydon be the Eurovision saviour Ireland have been looking for?

With the first rumours of Eurovision 2018 action beginning to emerge, there’s one bit of speculation which just won’t go away – and it’s one we can’t quite believe.

Because according to reports, punk legend John Lydon – aka the Sex Pistols’ anarchic frontman – could well be in line to grace the stage at the contest in Lisbon next May.

Except the man more commonly associated with the likes of Anarchy In The UK and God Save The Queen than bouncy, Eurovision-friendly Schlager pop anthems, isn’t aiming to represent the UK, but Ireland.
